Today, there are countless sports drinks on the market. If you’re wondering which is the best for you, check out our list below to help you make your decision.

	Regular Sports Drink
These are good for before, during, or up to 60 minutes after you workout. If you’re looking for a drink such as this, try Gatorade. It’s “the original sports drink”, and provides 14 g of carbs and 110 mg of sodium per 8 oz serving.

	Low-Cal Sports Drink
If you’re looking for a beverage that cuts out the calories, try PowerAde Zero. This drink has calories, but that also means “zero energy”. This may taste better than water, but all it will do is keep you hydrated – nothing more.

	Enhanced Sports Drink
A lot of new sports drinks add in extra nutrients like vitamins, caffeine, or amino acids. If this sounds like your cup of tea, try Accelerade which offers a 4:1 carb-protein ratio. This beverage has been shown to minimize muscle damage during exercise, and also accelerate recovery compared to carb-only drinks.

	Recovery Sports Drink
These drinks are designed to help with post-workout recovery. A great option is Muscle Milk which has complete nutrition recovery, and offers a balance of carbs, fat, and protein, along with a substantial list of vitamins and essential minerals.

Located along the shore of Lady Bird Lake in Austin, The Long Center is widely regarded as one of the best performance spaces in a town full of them. Originally known as The Palmer Auditorium, it was renamed in 1999 and completely reconstructed into a multi-use facility with four unique theaters. The largest auditorium, the Michael and Susan Dell Hall, is a 2,400-seat venue with three levels of seating and private boxes that is used for symphony performances and other large-scale events. The Debra and Kevin Rollins Studio Theater is the Center’s black box room, an adaptable space that seats up to 229 in a number of configurations. The other spaces are the outdoor City Terrace and Hartman Concert Park. All of the seating and acoustics are top of the line, and the staff here is beyond reproach. No matter what your interests may be, The Long Center is a great place to enjoy them.

If you’re in need of some major relaxation, why not opt for a tension-soothing massage? There are so many styles of massage to choose from that it can be difficult to figure out which one is best for you. Read on to learn about some of the most popular and effective types of massage available today:

	Swedish Massage Therapy

This form of massage is one of the most common and popular styles in the United States. When performing a Swedish massage, your massage therapist will use lotion or oil and perform long seamless strokes, kneading motions, and circular movements. This is an excellent choice if you’re looking to improve circulation, increase flexibility, clear lactic acid, and reduce soreness and stiffness in joints and muscles.

	Hot Stone Massage

During this style of massage, smooth stones are heated up and placed on designated areas of the body, their purpose being to loosen and warm tight muscles and also bring balance to the body’s energy centers. Your massage therapist may also hold the stones and press them against you, applying pressure to your body, rather than placing them on you. A hot stone massage is an excellent choice if you want to relieve tension in your muscles through a massage method that is on the lighter end of the spectrum.

	Aromatherapy Massage

This is a form of massage therapy that employs the use of essential oils, which are scented plant oils. The oils are chosen either individually or in combination to suit the client’s specific needs – with relaxation, stress-reduction, energy improvement, and balance being some of the common needs addressed by aromatherapy massage. The essential oils benefit by the body through skin absorption and also via the sense of smell, though which they enter the limbic system and impact various aspects of the body (digestion, heart rate, blood pressure, and the immune system, to name a few).

	Deep Tissue Massage

This is a vigorous form of massage designed to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue in the body. It is especially ideal for extremely tight or sore muscles, injury recovery, and posture improvement. Your massage therapist will use a strong, slow stroke and a high degree of pressure, and will employ friction techniques that run across the grain of the muscle. Because of the forceful pressure applied during a deep tissue massage, it is likely you will experience some discomfort during the experience, and also likely that you’ll feel some stiffness when the massage has been completed, but all soreness should subside within a day or so.

	Shiatsu

This is a form of Japanese bodywork during which the massage therapist uses finger pressure in rhythmic patterns along traditional acupuncture meridians. In generally, the therapists presses down on each point for two to eight seconds, with the goal of improving your energy levels and helping your body find a better sense of balance. Shiatsu is a good choice for you if you want a relaxing massage where the pressure is firm but not extremely heavy. Shiatsu is known as a way of improving circulation, relieving stiffness, reducing stress, and calming an overactive nervous system.
